What condition will the car be in?

All Arval AutoSelect vehicles are inspected and, if necessary, refurbished before being made available. So they’re all in a good condition. They may have minor areas of damage such as small scratches or paintwork chips, which is normal for used cars. Each of our vehicles is specifically priced according to its condition.

Is there a delivery charge?

We include free delivery to any mainland GB address. Delivery outside of mainland GB may be possible and will be quoted on an individual basis.

How long will I have to wait to receive my Arval car?

The process should take less than 14 calendar days from the point you confirm the order, to vehicle delivery.          

Is a warranty included?

Yes, all our cars come with a 6-month warranty for extra peace of mind.         

When will the car next need an MOT or Service?

It’ll be a minimum of six months before your car needs its next service or MOT.

Will the car have full service history?

It may do. Our stock includes vehicles with a full service history, some with a partial service history and some with no service history. To find out about a specific vehicle, just check the ‘Maintenance’ section of the vehicle description or get in touch.

How do I pay?

If you’re buying the vehicle from us directly, you’ll need to pay the full amount via bank transfer. As soon as these funds have cleared in our bank account we will call you to organise delivery. If you’d like to purchase via finance, you will need to put the finance in place via Evolution Funding, then the lender will pay us for the car. If you are part exchanging a vehicle we will give you a fixed price for your current car. This will be deducted from the cost of your Arval vehicle at the point of purchase.

What if the vehicle arrives and I'm not happy with it?

There is a 14-day cooling-off period, so if you're not completely happy you have 14 days from delivery to let us know. We’ll collect the vehicle and give you a full refund. If you gave us a vehicle for part exchange, we won’t be able to return it to you, but we’ll reimburse what we paid you for it.

I've also seen this car on AutoTrader - is it yours?

Yes - we list our cars on both Auto Trader and Arval AutoSelect. The price you pay and the vehicle you get is exactly the same, wherever it’s listed.

How long will I have to wait to receive my Re-Lease car?

The process should take less than two weeks from the point you confirm the order, to vehicle delivery.

Will I own the vehicle at the end of the lease?

No, this is a contract hire agreement and Arval will own the vehicle throughout. At the end of the contract term we’ll collect it from you.

What documents will I have to sign?

You’ll need to sign a contract and an order form, and complete a Direct Debit mandate.         

Can I choose how long to lease the vehicle for?

Yes - we offer a choice of 12, 24 or 36-month contracts.

How many upfront payments do I have to pay?

You can choose whether to pay 1, 3, 6 or 9 monthly payments upfront. The more you pay initially, the lower your monthly rental fees will be.

How will I be billed?

We will bill you through a monthly invoice which will be sent to you on the first of each month. We can provide you with online invoicing alongside or to replace paper invoicing.

Who is responsible for maintenance?

While you will be responsible for essential maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations (this includes things like topping up the oil, for example), we offer some optional extras. These cover things like servicing and repairs, replacement tyres, breakdown cover and accident management. We offer two products - the Arval Maintenance Package and Arval Total Care. Will I need to get an MOT for the vehicle?

When your leased vehicle turns three years old, it becomes your responsibility to ensure it has a valid MOT certificate, regardless of any optional extras you have bought with us. We’ll send you an MOT reminder before it’s due.

How will fair wear and tear be managed at the end of my contract?

We take photos of the vehicle just before it’s delivered to you, and again when it’s collected at the end of your contract. There will only be fair wear and tear charges on damage caused during the period of your lease, which falls outside of the standards specified by the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA). Will I be credit checked?

Yes, we carry out a credit check and a customer due diligence check, as standard, before signing the contract. This is known as 'Know Your Customer' or KYC for short.

How do I raise a complaint?

We’re committed to providing products and services of the very highest standards, and customer satisfaction is incredibly important to us. If we haven’t lived up to your expectations in any way we’d like to know, so we can put things right for you. Make a complaint.

How does the car I am interested get reserved?

We will reserve the vehicle for you upon receipt of a credit application form that will be provided by a member of our sales team.
